Mid-America Regional Information Systems, Inc. (MARIS) is a regional Multiple Listing Service in the heart of the Midwest — founded in 1995, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, and built around a mission of “providing an orderly marketplace of cooperation and compensation for participants through a common database of real estate information.” Led by President and CEO Cameron Paine and governed by a broker-driven board of directors, MARIS takes what it calls “a blue jeans and white glove approach” to serving its members — combining approachable, hands-on support with enterprise-grade technology and data standards.
From its roots serving four founding shareholder associations in the St. Louis metro, MARIS has grown into the 23rd largest MLS in the United States, now supporting more than 15,000 subscribers across 14 REALTOR® Associations and 130+ counties spanning an estimated 118,000 square miles across Missouri and Illinois. Eligibility: Licensed Missouri or Illinois real estate brokers, agents, and appraisers can subscribe to MARIS through one of its 14 Shareholder Associations. Membership in a REALTOR® association is required to purchase MARIS MLS services. MARIS also offers non-member participation options for qualifying brokers.
