RSS (most commonly translated as 'Really Simple Syndication' but sometimes 'Rich Site Summary') is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works - such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video - in a standardized format. Below we give a step by step guide to inserting two of these - WebRSS and FeedBucket.
WebRSS TOP
Webrss allows you to insert any RSS feed in to your own website. Simply add the URL of a feed, customize the widget and insert the code provided in to Web Designer/Xara Xtreme. Below we give a step by step guide to inserting a WebRSS Widget.

1 Sign in to your WebRSS account or click here to create a new account.

2 Click on the link 'Add New Feed' below the sub-heading 'Create Widgets' and insert the URL of the feed you wish to import and click on the 'Create New feed' button.

3 Click on the link 'Manage Widgets'. This will direct you to a page displaying your current feeds.

4 Click on the 'Advance Settings' link for the feed you have just added in order to customize the feed.

5 Customize the feed as required and click on the button 'Save and grab code'.

6 WebRSS provides the required code in a variety of formats. We recommend selecting JavaScript or iframes. Please set the width of the iframe to the required value if you are selecting the iframe option.

7 In Web Designer or Xtreme 5, open the web page in which you wish to embed your WebRSS Widget.

8 Using the Rectangle tool, insert a placeholder on your web page where you wish the WebRSS Widget to appear.

9 Open the Web Properties dialog via Utilities > Web Properties (or by clicking on the icon in the web toolbar or Shift+Ctrl+W) and then click on the Placeholder tab.

10 Enable the radio button 'Replace with HTML code' and paste (Ctrl +V) the code you copied in step 5.

11 Click on OK to apply the changes and close the dialog.
