Gary is a traditional illustrator who discovered the power of personal computers and Xara in the 1990s... and promptly threw away his pencils.

Primarily a teacher/educator through his work, Gary holds four international awards for graphics and desktop publishing. Working in mixed digital media—drawing, painting, modeling and other programs—not only designs but also has written papers and over 20 books on several applications and how they work together to envision what the artist literally has in mind. Scheduled for a mid-2009 release, the author is pleased to have written Xara Xtreme: The Official Guide, published by McGraw-Hill.
